What Is SEO?

SEO carries a fairly simple definition, Search Engine Optimization. This is a relatively simple process, but you have to play by the rules and dedicate a lot time and effort. SEO is the process of directing traffic toward your target website through various, free, search engine listings. You can pay for listing to be shown above the ranks, but ads generally receive only 35% of overall search engine traffic. The search engine listings are a constant competition for rank and placement. The higher the search engine rank positions (SERP’s), the more organic traffic you will receive.
